Happy Memorial Day!

Good Morning! I would love to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day and to remember to honor all of our wonderful veteran's that have served our country but are no longer here to honor in person! We have so much to be thankful for and everything that we hold dear we owe to these men and women!
I am posting a new pic of a card I made for my hubby for Father's Day and entering in My Pink Stamper Challenge! He is a "Harley Man" and so was his father before him! He is currently restoring a 1950 Harley Panhead that his father bought new! It is so pretty and we even have the original sales receipt! A picture of this gorgeous motorcycle is posted on the side of my blog.
This past week has been crazy busy for me and this next week is even more hectic!
I am going to the Great American Scrapbooking Convention in Arlington,TX this week and thank you to my cousin Debbie for inviting me to come and go with her! I am going to her house on the 2nd so we can hit the doors when they open on the 3rd! Wooo Hooo! I can't wait! Time has slipped up on me so fast I am not near ready to go! I had planned to go see my daughter, then on to see my uncle, and then to Arlington but since tomorrow is the 1st whew I don't think I can cover that much area in such a small amount of time! Not sure what I am going to do but will make all those stops in some order just may not be the order that I had planned! LOL! I fly better by the seat of my pants anyway! Every time I plan something the planning falls through so it is a really good thing thing that I am spontaneous!!
I hope you will make your way over to a new card challenge I have at Colorful Creations! You can just click on the button on the side of my post! I invite you to come and play along!
Have a fantastic Memorial Day!
Hugs!

Pictures are of the cards I made as examples for my first ever card challenge. The challenge is to use a critter on your card. A critter can be any living creature other than a human. Your critter must be delivering some kind of message! To go to my first ever card challenge at Colorful Creations go here
Wow! I have been so dang busy I can't keep up with myself! What is new about that? Nothing, I have ADHD horribly so I am always into something but this time I have outrun myself! tee hee! I am honored to be on the Design Team at Colorful Creations in charge of the card challenge. I had a challenge to post this morning and I literally worked for two days making cards to go with the challenge. Of course with ADHD unless I am actually using my hands I get distracted very easily so for one of those days I was trying to concentrate on ideas for my cards. Once I began creating it went pretty smoothly. Well, all except my little birdie that says "I'm as Happy as a Bird with a French Fry!" and there I used Just Rite Stamps for the stamping. If you are not familiar with Just Rite stamps they are wonderful as you have a type set that you can set your letters to create your own sentiment. Well, last night I decided to use Just Rite and it literally took me 2 1/2 hours just to set the letters for the sentiment. Then, it didn't really turn out as well as I wanted! Dang it! I should have computer generated it but I wanted to do the entire thing myself. I even made the little french fry with GinaK Kraft cardstock by drawing the french fry, cutting it out, and running it through a paper crimper! I love the little bird and the french fry but the sentiment yuck!! I will have to improve it by computer generating a sentiment! I want to thank everyone at Colorful Creations for being so encouraging and supportive! Now, that this is done I still have four projects to complete for Simply Scrapping Group so it is back to the craftroom.
In fact, I am so proud of myself! Unless it is shipping my items that I sell on Ebay if you would like to see some gorgeous Magnolia Rubber Stamps the link is here

I provide free shipping for all my stamps and I usually ship them the day I receive the order if the Post Office is still open or at the latest the next day. Well, I am in a stamp swap and a card making kit swap! In the midst of all this I have them ready to go first thing in the morning. I procrastinate everything other than my Ebay and Etsy shops and I actually got these done and they are ready to go! Woooo Hooo! To see my Etsy shop go here
Off to my craftroom to get the projects done!
Happy Monday and See you again soon.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!! This has been a great weekend for me and I hope you had one too! I have my youngest home and we spent the day together shopping, watching movies and him playing his hand made guitar for me. I am posting so pics of his guitar that he made himself! It is gorgeous the pics don't do it justice!
It is so nice to have him home again!
I had a long talk with my husband's cousin Deb today and want to give a big shout out to her! She invited me to come stay with her and go to the Great American Scrapbookers Convention in Arlington, TX June 3-5! I am so excited as I have never been to anything like this before!
Wow! I was laid out for a couple of days with a bad case of the stomach virus! Feeling much better today, I only feel like a freight train hit me. Hopefully I will be back to normal soon.
I did want to post some picks that submitted for the challenges at Simply Scrapping today. The Under the Sea Birthday wishes was for the Stamp Challenge. Purple Lady Tilda was for the Card Challenge in which we had to create our own patterned paper, I created the patterned paper by stamping the flower images with Versamark and then sprinkling clear embossing powder over the stamping and using my heat gun, heat embossed all those lovely flowers. I then took my purple momento ink pad and a sponge and went all over the page, I then used a kleenex to wipe all the ink off of the embossed flowers. I also inked up my ribbon to match the paper! The next one is The End of Summer and I entered this is the Copic Challenge. Thank you so much for looking and any comments are greatly appreciated!
I just heard some bad news Ronnie James Dio died today from stomach cancer! Very sad the rock and roll world is truly going to miss him! Who will ever forget Rainbow!
Also, sadly my friend Lisa from The Purple Place had to step down from the Design Team at Colorful Creations and they have asked me to take her place on the Design Team over the Bi-monthly card challenge. I have given it a lot of thought since I am so very new to this. I have decided to give it a try and see if I can handle it. I thank Brenshevia and Toccara very much for having the belief in me to ask me to join their site. I hope you will join me and join in on the fun! Wow! Can you believe it is the 15th of May! Soon there will be the sounds of children running up and down the street enjoying the warm summer months of their vacation from school. Seems like the year has flown by! I don't remember the school year flying by like this when the kids were in school and I was working as a school counselor! LOL!
I am also posting a pic that I entered in a challenge at Colorful Creations. Here is the link to their great site http://colorfulcreations.ning.com/. This card which I call "Daddy's Girl" looks a lot like my daughter when she was small. Her hair was this natural curly and I just couldn't resist making the card for her to give her daddy for his birthday the first part of June. I would really appreciate it if you would leave me a comment and tell me what you think.
I just began entering challenges about a month ago and I am having a ball. Still very intimidated by the amount of talent out there but I jumped in with both feet and have not looked back!
It rained all day today and is supposed to rain all day tomorrow! I love cloudy rainy/snowy days.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs!

Wow! We are half way through May and I am about 3 months behind! It is time to pack up and head for the cabin in Colorado and I am no where close! I still have a trip to OKC and I am going to visit my uncle that has pancreatic cancer. I also have a wedding June 12th in the Dallas area!
I have to get to the cabin as we lost the top to our deck due to high winds last year and we are building a new one! I am way behind on my projects, I haven't colored with my copics in days! Woe is me! LOL!
I wanted to post some pics of my newest cards that were featured at SimplyScrapping. Thank you so much ladies! This group is so much fun if you haven't checked it out you really must go take a look! The Thank Ewe was for the Diecut/Punch Cricut Challenge, The Bee Hive is for the Copics Challenge where we had to use an image that we colored jeans, and the Shelties(my babies) was for the Color Combo Challenge in which we could only use the colors white, black, gray and pink.
My youngest son is home from college! Wooo Hooo it is so nice to have a kid back in the house!
Have a great Friday!
Hugs!

Hi! Today has been hectic! What am I saying this entire month has been hectic! I am having trouble keeping up with my thoughts much less anything else! I am entering my Longing Tilda Card in the MagnoliaStampLovers.blogspot.com Challenge! It is to create your Magnolia and make it dimensional. I just love this new little Longing Tilda and her cute little frog prince! Well, supposedly prince until you get to the inside of the card. There you find out in life sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs! LOL! I hope it wins! I hope you enjoy it! I want to send prayers out to all the tornado victims in Oklahoma! I was supposed to be right there yesterday when the storms hit but was delayed as my youngest son is coming in from college and wanted to go with me to OKC. My DD lives there and is a genius architect and I was going for a visit. We will make the trip later this week but want all of OKC to know I am praying for them!
Hugs!

Hello Everyone! I want to thank Simply Scrapping for a wonderful National Scrapbooker's Day and weekend! It was a wonderful weekend of scrapbooking and fun!
I even won one of the Challenges sponsored by Simply Scrapping it was Your Favorite Things Challenge. I won with the card that I made for my sister for Mother's Day. I put my very favorite things on it as that was the direction for the challenge! I love butterflies and Swavorski crystals and this has both!
I was encouraged as I have mentioned before by Lisa of The Purple Place to join in on the challenges. I am having a blast and pushing myself way past what I thought was possible.
I finally got my craftroom cleaned up today from the weekend or should I say Sunday of creating! LOL! Today was a new list of challenges for the month so I have my room ready to start again. I encourage everyone to go to the site and check out this great group of gals! I have never met such a wonderful group, they are so encouraging and supportive!
I have a tutorial that I am posting today for the expanding photo box that is below. It is so much fun to make! I am using my box to store my Magnolia Stamps.
If you haven't been to Suzanne Dean's blog Scrap Blitz you need to check it out. Suzanne has some wonderful tutorials on her site and teaches a wonderful Copics class. I highly recommend it.

May 2, 2010

I hope everyone had a fantastic National Scrapbooker's Day! I have been traveling for the most part but did stop at a rest stop with Wi-Fi so I could participate in some of the celebrations!
I spent Thursday night and Firday with my daughter and then she was off to Dallas for a competition. I spent the night at her house as I HAD to see the game between the Oklahoma Thunder and the Lakers. Dang it! We came so close! I had to be so proud of The Thunder however, we lost by 1 stinking point. Not bad for a second year team to take the Lakers until the 6th game to win the series! Next year we will go all the way! I am SURE of it! I had gone to babysit my Grandpuppies.
I left early afternoon and brought her two dogs with me (I had my two shelties as well) heading for home. I pulled over to walk the dogs and noticed that the rest stop had Wi-Fi so I thought what the heck, I'll just check for a sec and see what all is going on! Well, 3 1/2 hours later I was back on the road again.
I am posting a card I made for my uncle. He has pancreatic cancer and I love him with all my heart. The only thing I could think of when I was given the news is "Cancer Stinks!". This idea popped into my head and I made the card for him. All of the white areas including the letters have crystal stickles all over and the black areas on his little face have black diamond stickles on them (eyes, ears, mouth). It is 10" x 15" and on the inside I wrote a note saying, "I am like Forrest Gump and this is all I have to say about that!"
Hugs!
